Dr. Shama Sud completed medical school at the University of Toronto.  She then went on to do her residency in Paediatrics followed by a fellowship in Allergy and Clinical Immunology at SickKids Hospital.  Prior to medical school she also did a Masters in Nutrition at Columbia University in New York City.  She works at Bloorkids Pediatrics and North Toronto Allergy.  She is passionate about preventing and managing food allergies in children and oral immunotherapy. She lives in Davisville Village with her husband and son.  She loves all things related to food and exercising in her spare time.  

Dr. Lucy Duan is a pediatric allergist and immunologist. She is a Clinical Assistant Professor in the Department of Paediatrics at the University of Toronto, and Associate Staff Physician in the Division of Clinical Immunology and Allergy at SickKids Hospital. Dr. Duan received her medical degree from The University of Toronto, and completed her Pediatrics residency, and Allergy & Clinical Immunology fellowship at SickKids. Outside of work, she loves spending time outdoors with her family and daughter.

·       Description: Dr. Sud will be discussing what common food allergens are and how we can use early introduction to prevent food allergies in children.  She will also briefly touch on new and exciting treatments for food allergies such as oral immunotherapy.
