SEPARATION ANXIETY & TEACHING INDEPENDENCE

Karen Brown, ECE

Parents envision independent, self-assured children, but then reality sets in and our kids cling to our pant legs and cry when we leave the room. Do you want to learn how to deal with separation anxiety?

Karen Brown is an Early Childhood Educator with training in Assistance to Infancy and the Montessori method, and has over 20 years experience working with young children. Karen will be leading a discussion related to separation anxiety and teaching independence. She will provide advice on how parents can help build trust so that their child feels confident and secure in their environment without fear of abandonment.
