Fire Team Responsibilities |
If the Fire Alarm Sounds Fire Alarm teams are based on the number of children in each room. At the beginning of each meeting, we canvas the number of children in each room and assign a sufficient number of moms to return to the room and retrieve children in the case of a fire. We announce Fire Team members at the beginning of each meeting. If you arrive a little late, and drop off your children after we have canvassed the room, you will notice a black line on the sign in sheet. You must sign in under the black line. This is an indicator to you that the teams have already been created, so you are now automatically part of the Fire Alarm Team. If a fire alarm is heard, you are to proceed to the room and assist the Fire Alarm Team to retrieve the children. If you drop off children in more than one room, you are to proceed to the room that has your youngest child. Those not on the Fire Teams should follow the Fire Safety Guideline here. Infant Room Fire Team Proceed to the auditorium (Soward Hall). Take your child only. Babysitters will take the other children. - Listen to your Fire Team Room Leader for directions on how to evacuate the building. Your primary exit is through the West door - proceed through the back door of the auditorium, down the corridor to the blue door on your right, down one flight of stairs and out the exit door to the Church parking lot. Wait by the tree at the end of the driveway for attendance and further instructions. In the event of a real emergency, you may need to listen to your Leader for the alternate exit. Toddle Room Fire Team Proceed through the auditorium (Soward Hall), out the west door, up the stairs marked "The Loft" to the toddler room. Take your child AND one other. Babysitters will take the other children. - Listen to your Fire Team Room Leader for directions on how to evacuate the building. Your primary exit is through the West door - proceed down the stairs and down the corridor to the blue door on your right, down one flight of stairs, out the exit door to the Church parking lot. Wait by the tree at the end of the driveway for attendance and further instructions. In the event of a real emergency, you may need to listen to your Leader for the alternate exit. Pre-schooler Room (Gymnasium) Fire Team - Proceed down the 2 1/2 flights of stairs beside the parlour to the Gym. Take your child AND one other by the hand. - Listen to your Fire Team Room Leader for directions on how to evacuate the building. Your primary exit is through the West door - proceed out the blue door at the southwest corner of the gym, up one flight of stairs and, out the exit door to the Church parking lot. Wait by the tree at the end of the driveway for attendance and further instructions. In the event of a real emergency, you may need to listen to your Leader for the alternate exit. |
